Going international lets you see how your product or service might be useful in other societies and cultures. You may find that the primary use in one area is not the primary use in another. It’s a simpler way of diversifying without having to change your product. You have different ways then of marketing and promoting your idea and with more people to listen. In order to create an international presence, you will need to keep your marketing strategy in line. You’ll have to create a way that everyone can find out about you. You can start by getting that website up and running. And to make it even better, you should give the site the ability to be translated into other languages so that anyone can read it. Find ways to link your site with other related sites in order to get more folks coming to you. One of the newer trends is to make things in materials that can’t harbor germs—is there a way to do this with your product? Of course, innovating a service is a little different. You need to figure out where it could be made better. Is there a way to add services to the service that you already provide? Is there a way to provide it faster or without a lot of steps? Perhaps there can be a way to involve the customer in the process, or involve them less. People want the highest value for their dollar, so you will need to continuously reassess what that value is at the current moment.
